Kink Vials: put a number on what you actually want

Score every item from 0 to 100, watch each vial fill as you go, and take the finished shelf away as a single image.

Rack 01 · sample shelf0 — 100
01 How to use it
  1. STEP 01

    Three moves, start to finish

It works in three moves: pick a test, drag a slider for every item, save the shelf as one picture. Each item is its own glass vial, and the vial fills to wherever you leave the slider — live, with nothing to submit and no result to wait for.

  2. STEP 02

    0 to 100, your definition

The scale is 0 to 100 and you decide what the numbers mean. For anything you would not consider at all, hit the ✕ beside the slider: that vial stays empty and gets a red cross, which reads as a hard limit rather than a low score. Everything else goes up from there. Colour snaps to five bands so a full shelf stays readable at thumbnail size, but the fill height keeps your exact number — a 34 and a 66 sit at visibly different lines.

  3. STEP 03

    Change anything, then save it

You can change any answer, skip anything, and come back tomorrow. Ratings are written to your own browser, so there is no account to make and nothing to upload. When every item has a number, Save image draws the shelf on your device; whether it goes anywhere after that is entirely up to you.

02 The five bands

Fill height is exact. Colour snaps to five.

A 40 fills forty percent. A 55 and a 60 sit at different heights in the same colour — so a shelf of thirty-five stays readable at thumbnail size without flattening what you said.

0A hard no. Not low priority — ruled out, and not up for discussion.
1–33Low. You would go along with it for someone; you would never suggest it.
34–66Middle. Fine when the mood is right, easy to stop, no strong pull either way.
67–99High. Something you want, and would ask for.
100Full to the neck. A standing yes you would arrange your evening around.

04 Frequently asked

Frequently asked

Is Kink Vials free?
Yes. All five tests are free and there is nothing to buy. No premium tier, no paid unlock for the image export, no cap on how many times you take a test or export a shelf, and no trial that quietly expires. You are not asked for an email address, a card, or a username. The whole thing runs inside your browser, which is the main reason it costs nothing to keep online.
Is it anonymous, and do my answers get uploaded anywhere?
Nothing is uploaded. There is no sign-up, no account, and no server storing responses, so there is no profile with your name on it and nothing for anyone to leak, sell, or subpoena. Your ratings are written to localStorage on the device you used, which means they persist between visits in that one browser only. Clear your site data, use a private window, or switch devices, and they are gone.
How long does a test take?
Most people finish a thirty-five item test in ten to fifteen minutes. Rating an item takes a couple of seconds once you stop second-guessing yourself, and the slow part is the handful of entries you feel genuinely ambivalent about. You can stop and come back, since ratings are stored locally as you set them. Freestyle takes as long as you spend writing the list, because you supply the items yourself.
Does it tell me what kind of person I am, or what my results mean?
No, and that is deliberate. There is no type, no label, no percentage match, and no paragraph explaining you to yourself. The output is the shelf: your items, your numbers, in your own order of preference. Interpretation engines mostly flatter you or box you in, and either way they add a stranger's opinion on top of answers only you can verify. The numbers are more useful without the commentary.
Why rate from 0 to 100 instead of yes, no, or maybe?
Because most honest answers are not binary. Yes covers everything from mildly curious to a standing requirement, and a three-way checklist throws that range away. A slider lets you put 12 on something you would tolerate for a partner and 95 on something you actively arrange your life around. The five color bands keep the shelf readable at a glance, while the number underneath stays exact.
Can my partner and I both take a test and compare?
Yes, and it is one of the most common uses. Take the same test separately, export both shelves, then set the two images side by side. Matching items sit in the same position, so gaps are visible without any arithmetic. Nothing computes a compatibility score, which keeps the conversation on specific items rather than on a single number pretending to summarize two people.
Can I add my own items?
The five fixed tests keep their lists fixed, so that two shelves from the same test stay comparable position by position. If you want items of your own, use Freestyle: it opens as an empty shelf and every vial is one you added and labeled. People use it for what no general list covers, including specific scenarios, arrangements particular to one relationship, and limits they want written down.
Is it safe to post my shelf image?
The image contains what you put in it: item labels and fill levels. No name, no handle, no device details, and no link back to a stored profile, because there is no stored profile. So the question is social rather than technical. It is a public statement about your sex life, and whether that is safe depends on who sees your feed, not on the file itself.
